Energy Cooperatives

The aim is to support the energy resilience by creation of energy cooperatives in Sri Lanka. The pilot project will be implemented in selected rural regions of Sri Lanka. This initiative builds on Sri Lanka’s long tradition of cooperativism and guidance provided by experienced partners specialising in community development (Nucleus Foundation and Warehouse Project). Finally it leverages on the ground in-house expertise of implementation of successful cooperative job creation programs in European regions in transition.
